This 3,750lb Galvanized Boat Trailer Torsion Axle by Knott-Autoflex is designed for maximum durability and performance, featuring a V-bend center to provide optimal clearance for your boat's hull. With a hub face (track width) of 78 inches and an outside bracket measurement of 66 inches, it is designed to easily bolt on to your 66 inch wide I-Beam Trailer (Mounting Hardware is not included with axles). This axle is equipped with galvanized 5-lug idler hubs, a greasable spindle, and a 1.98-inch Accu-Lube style dust cap, ensuring easy maintenance and extended bearing life. It also includes a standard 4-hole brake flange, compatible with disc brakes from trusted brands like Knott, Kodiak, DeeMaxx, and Dexter. The torsion arm is angled at 20 degrees down for enhanced stability and handling. Knott's galvanized torsion axles are ideal for boat and jet ski trailers used in saltwater environments, offering superior rust and corrosion resistance compared to standard steel or painted axles. The hubs come pre-installed and feature a 3.5k-3.75k capacity bearing combination, with a 1 3/8-inch inner bearing (L68149) and a 1 1/16-inch outer bearing (L44649). The seal size for the hub is 1.72. The hub uses standard ½"x20 lug nuts and a 5 on 4.5-inch bolt pattern. While this axle does not include brakes, the 4-hole brake flange provides an easy upgrade path for disc brakes, or you can swap the hubs for drum brakes if needed. The pre-installed hubs are greased with lithium-based grease for immediate use, with the option to apply additional grease before use if needed.
