When used together, this Scuffing System helps achieve optimum paint adhesion. The Scotch-Brite Primer Prep Scuff is a non-woven abrasive that comes in a 4-3/4 in x 15 ft roll with perforations for 4-3/4 in x 6 in pads that allow for easy "downsizing." The most aggressive of the 3-part scuff pad system, the Primer Prep Scuff is used to scuff prior to primer for proper mechanical adhesion. The aluminum oxide mineral offers an aggressive and clean cut. The unique non-woven web is the secret to superior performance. It binds together synthetic fibers and abrasive particles to create a conformable, three-dimensional material.
